Repo public — MIT · v0.1.0
legion native
Cross-platform mobile framework for Android, iOS and web — a TypeScript runtime with a Rust core for the parts where JS is genuinely slow. The repo's rule: numbers, not marketing.
THE MOBILE FRAMEWORK
legionnative is the framework the team shipped after wearing out every popular option. The stack, straight from the repo: TypeScript runtime for type-safe app code, a Rust core handling file I/O, crypto, image processing and network, a Node.js CLI for fast tooling, Vite dev server for HMR that's actually instant, Skia rendering so every device gets the same pixels, and a WASM plugin system for native code in any language.
It's early and honest about it — version 0.1.0. File-based routing means you drop a file in screens/ and it's a route. OTA updates ship without waiting for app store reviews, and offline is real caching with background sync. The performance table below is the repo's own numbers-not-marketing table — targets the project measures against, not claims.
npm install -g @legion/clilegion create my-appcd my-applegion startMetrics — measured targets, not claims
| Metric | Target | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cold start | < 100ms | Users don't wait. They leave. |
| Hot reload | < 50ms | You ship faster, not slower. |
| Base bundle | < 50KB | Downloads matter on 3G. |
| Memory | < 20MB | Budget devices actually work. |
| Offline | Full | No connection? No problem. |

LEGIONNATIVE needs: Open issues and PRs on GitHub — v0.1.0 means plenty of rough edges to help smooth.. Check CONTRIBUTING.md in the repo, then open a PR — or a bug report with reproduction steps, which is even better.
